Identity Verification and Security
1. Purpose
Na+ aims to provide a secure, kind, and inclusive space for neurodivergent individuals. To ensure everyone's safety and limit abuse, certain identity verifications may be requested. These measures ensure that every member is a real adult person.
2. Access reserved for adults
Minimum age: Access to the service is strictly reserved for persons aged 18 and older.
Verification: Verifications may be implemented at any time to confirm the user's age of majority.
Refusal to provide required documents will result in denial of registration or account suspension.
3. Documents that may be requested
Depending on security needs and context, Na+ may request:
- A valid ID document (national ID card, passport) to verify identity and age of majority.
- Proof of residence (utility bill, tax notice) to confirm geographic location (optional).
- A selfie with the ID document (if necessary) to prevent identity fraud.
Note: These documents are only requested in case of doubt or for accounts requiring enhanced verification (moderators, suspicious accounts).
4. Processing and retention period
Single use: Submitted documents are used only for identity and age verification.
Automatic deletion: Once verification is approved, documents (images, copies) are automatically deleted within 48 hours.
Only the "identity verified" status (binary flag) is kept in your profile.
Security: Documents are stored temporarily and securely, accessible only by authorized moderation staff.
5. Privacy and anonymity
Real identity hidden: Real identity (name, first name, ID photo) is never displayed publicly.
Username: You can use a username visible to everyone. Your real identity remains confidential and accessible only to the moderation team in case of legal necessity or security.
Sensitive data: No medical information or neurodivergence-related data is linked to identity verification.
6. Alternatives and external solutions
Na+ prioritizes, when possible, the use of certified third-party age verification solutions (e.g., Yoti, Veriff) that do not store documents on our servers.
Additional security mechanisms (captcha, behavioral analysis) may be used to reduce the need for manual verification.
7. Your rights
In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your verification documents (before approval)
- Contest a verification rejection decision
